Since his arrival at Avison Young in 2007, Ryan has focused his attention solely on business development within the Southwestern Ontario Market in an effort to create additional brand awareness to an emerging marketplace. As one of the Principals at Avison Young with over 14 years of real estate experience concentrating on the Southwestern Ontario market, Ryan is noted for his expansive knowledge of the investment, office and retail markets while offering a multidiscipline approach including in-depth financial analysis, market analytics, strategic direction, business development, project risk management along with extensive acquisition, negotiation and due diligence skills creating true value for his clients. As integral member of the Avison Young Southwestern Ontario Capital Markets team along with a vast comprehension of the office, retail landlord / tenant representation market, Ryan has participated and consulted on over $150 million in transactions over the past 24 months.

As a current resident, former University of Waterloo quarterback and University of Waterloo Athletic Hall of Fame member Ryan has been directly involved in the Waterloo Region since 1994. Throughout his time in the Waterloo Region, Ryan has been an active member in multiple outreach programs and volunteered his time with both High school and University football coaching programs.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Ryan played professional football in the CFL (Canadian Football League) along with amassing ten years of business experience through multiple ventures in both Canada and the United States, adding to his overall knowledge base and personal experience within the business sector which also lead to the participation in multiple guest speaking arrangements.
