Avison Young deepens occupier services bench as the pandemic has sparked interest in Boston’s suburban markets

John Dolan joins as Principal, focusing on expanding multi-market occupier services

Boston, MA – Tom Collins, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Boston office today announced that award-winning commercial brokerage leader, John Dolan, has joined Avison Young as a Principal. Dolan will lead the Boston multi-market occupier services team and focus on the Central and South Route 128 markets.

“John is a highly regarded professional in the greater Boston market, who will help clients navigate through obstacles and opportunities brought on by COVID,” said Collins. “He is the perfect addition to our team and his top priority is to ensure that occupiers emerge from work-from-home policies with the knowledge and expertise to help them utilize their space effectively and realize cost-saving opportunities that arise.”

Dolan brings nearly 15 years of extensive office and industrial market experience to Avison Young. He comes to the firm after eight years with McCall & Almy and also served as Vice President at Colliers International. Dolan currently serves on the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) Executive Committee and is a Past President and Treasurer of CBA. Dolan has been awarded Creative Deal of the Year in 2014 and Suburban Deal of the Year in 2017 by the CBA. He is also a member of CoreNet New England and a board member of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund.

Dolan is also a familiar voice to sports fans in the Boston area. He has been a sports public address announcer for 20 years, announcing games for the New York Knicks, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
