Brett Armstrong is a Principal and the Practice Leader for Toronto leasing services. Brett is responsible for providing office leasing and advisory services with Avison Young and is based out of the organization’s global headquarters in Toronto.

Brett has focused his career on developing long-term corporate relationships with some of the most prominent owners and occupiers across North America. Since joining Avison Young in 2012, Brett has tremendous experience working with multi market occupiers ranging in portfolio sizes of one single location to portfolio sizes up to 3,000 global locations, acting as a single point of contact. On the owner side, Brett has worked on over 5 million square feet of office listings, including the 1.2 million square foot pre-leasing and development of one of Canada’s most significant mixed-use developments, The Well.

Since joining Avison Young in 2012, Brett has demonstrated significant market consistency and success amongst his peers and is consistently a top producer and a member of Avison Young’s global Circle of Excellence. In 2018 Brett was proud to have been named SIOR’s Central Chapter’s Young Professional of the Year, which recognizes industry leaders in Ontario for market transactions, market consistency and industry reputation. Additionally, in 2022 Brett was promoted by Avison Young to lead the Toronto leasing team as the Practice Leader, responsible for business development, client engagement and broker mentorship.
