Dallas - Fort Worth, TX – Avison Young has released its Second Quarter 2022 Office Market Report for Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW). DFW’s recovery continues as jobs have fully rebounded from the pandemic-related losses. In Q2, the region hit a new job peak, crossing the four-million mark for all sectors. Office jobs have also achieved a new peak, expanding more than 130,000 net new jobs – a 12.6% increase from the prior peak of Q4 2019. This robust economic engine from companies expanding and continued relocation announcements has helped the region’s office metrics to slowly stabilize, although uncertainty remains a topic of concern and is weighing on absorption and vacancy.  

Avison Young Principal and Managing Director in the Dallas office, Greg Langston noted, “The return to the office is taking more time than expected, which means it will require several quarters to see broad improvement in vacancy and sublet availability. As in past quarters, we will continue to see the trend for users to relocate to better space and locations as they seek to entice their employees back to the office.”
