About Ben

Ben is a retail leasing specialist with more than eight years of focused experience, having executed over 100 lease transactions for prominent retail landlords and developers throughout northern Alberta. Representing both landlord and tenant interests, he advises international, national, and regional retailers on site selection, market intelligence, and lease negotiations. Ben has expanded his practice to deliver bespoke strategic consulting for select clients navigating expansion, repositioning, and portfolio optimization.

Before joining Avison Young, Ben earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance from the University of Alberta in 2015. He furthered his education at the University of Reading at Henley Business School in the UK, where he obtained a Master of Science in Real Estate in July of 2017. Ben is an active leader in the industry and community, serving as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Edmonton CREW, and volunteering as a lacrosse coach for Team Ireland and the Edmonton Miners Lacrosse Club.
