About Brandon

Brandon Copeland has been highly involved in the commercial real estate industry for this entire career. Graduating Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2012 with undergraduate degrees in both Business and Political Science, Brandon opted to pursue a career in real estate due to the interesting intersection between private and public sectors.

Since entering the industry, Brandon has worked in land development and residential construction, project management and consulting, and property management. Working with the province’s largest third-party property management firm, Brandon opted to pursue his real estate salesperson license in 2019 to assist with portfolio leasing as well as acquisition and divestment for the company’s clients. Brandon secured his Broker’s license in 2024.

Brandon joined Avison Young in late 2024 and opened the company’s office in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2025, becoming Broker of Record for the province. Brandon operates in all areas of commercial real estate, but specializes in commercial leasing, serving clients in the office, industrial and retail sectors. Brandon has also served on the board of BOMA NL, advocating and supporting members across the commercial real estate world.

Brandon was born in Nova Scotia, where he lived until 2007 and still visits often. Brandon is a father of two, and is passionate about golf, soccer, urban planning, travel, and creative writing.
