About Chris

Chris is an energetic business leader who has been responsible for the successful development of two start-up tax practices within the national commercial real estate brokerage firm sector, most recently with Avison Young. Having worked for private consulting firms and within the professional service firm environment, Chris has successfully applied his business savvy to establishing and running successful tax practices. Chris has a very loyal following with his clients and a strong personality that enables him to attract and retain clients that look to Chris and his team for consistent results in managing realty tax liabilities.

Early in Chris’ career he became focused on appeals with site specific valuation concerns. Every building has unique circumstances that must be addressed in the appeal process. This philosophy naturally drew him to specializing in office and retail properties. Through victories, his approach has led to systematic changes in how downtown office buildings are classified and how Boards validate capitalization rate comparables.
