About Chris

Chris Valeriote is a Principal with Avison Young, advising clients across Guelph, Wellington County, and the broader Southwestern Ontario markets. Since entering the commercial real estate industry in 2015, Chris has established himself as one of the region’s leading commercial advisors, working closely with owners, occupiers, investors, and developers on strategic sale and lease assignments.

In 2022, Chris was promoted to Principal – a prestigious designation within Avison Young that recognizes leadership, performance, and long-term contribution to the firm. As a Principal of the world’s largest privately held commercial real estate brokerage, Chris plays an active role in mentorship, collaboration, and strategic growth initiatives within the Southwestern Ontario region.

Born and raised in Guelph, Chris maintains deep community roots and a comprehensive understanding of the local marketplace. His advisory approach is grounded in real-time market intelligence, disciplined negotiation, and creative problem-solving, allowing him to structure solutions tailored to each client’s business objectives.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Chris worked in Global Supply Chain Management at Danby Products and within the Risk Advisory Practice at Ernst & Young. This operational and analytical background provides him with a strong understanding of business performance, cost structures, and risk mitigation – perspectives that directly inform his real estate advisory approach.
