About Mark

Mark Hartum, a Principal with Avison Young, is one of the leading commercial real estate professionals in the City of Edmonton. Specializing in the Edmonton office market since 1995, Mark has provided consulting, workplace strategy, advisory services and representation to a number of regional, national and international corporate clients. Additionally, he has had the pleasure of assisting various not-for-profit and charitable organizations with finding real estate solutions to meet their specific needs. More than ever as we shift into navigating the complexities of new hybrid work models to accomodate a diverse and agile work force, Mark and his team are here to help.

Mark has earned a reputation of being able to add tremendous value on behalf of landlords when engaged as their exclusive listing agent. He has marketing expertise and analytical capabilities that allow him to capitalize on leasing opportunities, structure creative deals and maximize returns for his clients. Experience and knowledge gained from strategic consulting and transactional experience with occupiers has proven to be a valuable asset on the agency leasing side of the business.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Mark was the Associate Vice President of another international brokerage company. During this time he specialized in downtown and suburban office leasing, working primarily in conjunction with the National Corporate Services Group.
