About Richard

Richard is an integral part of the Halifax Avison Young team and brings deep levels of experience in property management, brokerage and finance. Richard completed his CA designation in 1993 and has been a senior financial officer for a number of corporations. As a former President of a large property management company, his passion for real estate, drive for excellence and entrepreneurial mindset was a natural fit for Avison Young. His experience expands all aspects of financial accounting, forecast modeling, strategic planning, tax and business advisory services.

Throughout his career he participated in, or led, multimillion-dollar acquisitions providing due diligence, preparation of the investment memorandums, and consolidated forecasting. He also has been providing owner-managed business with strategic advice on a full-time basis. Richard is an avid runner, competing in numerous half and full marathons. He lives in Dartmouth with his wife Heather and their fur baby Mia.
