Erik Lovicsek is a data analyst at Avison Young’s Montreal office. Working within the Innovation and Insight department, he uses best practices in data science to ingest, manage, and manipulate real-estate and real-estate-adjacent data in order to gain insights relevant across all business lines. As such, he is a key driver of the continuing development and improvement of Avison Young’s state-of-the-art AVANT platform, particularly with regards to the Greater Montreal Area.

Deeply passionate about the intersection of urban development and data, Erik completed a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from McGill University in 2020, during which he worked as a research assistant in the New Cities Lab critically analyzing urban mega-projects in Southeast Asia. He then subsequently obtained a diploma in Data Science from Concordia University in 2022.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Erik worked as a Geographic Information Systems analyst, overseeing the maturation of a geospatial data program for a small local municipality.
