Jordan Lovett will lead with a focus on growth and operational excellence

Ottawa, ON – Global commercial real estate advisor, Avison Young, today announces Jordan Lovett as Principal and Managing Director (“MD”) in Ottawa, Ontario, effective May 19. Lovett will focus on growth, market share, and business development throughout the Ottawa market, as well as operational excellence.

“After a careful search to identify the best candidate, I am pleased to welcome Jordan. What sets him apart in our industry is his sophisticated background in finance. As a former commercial banker specializing in complex financing programs, Jordan brings a unique skillset that will serve Avison Young well in Ottawa,” said Mark Fieder, Principal and President of Avison Young in Canada.

As MD, Lovett will oversee a multi-disciplinary team. With a growth-mentality, he will explore opportunities to expand Avison Young’s offerings within the National Capital Region, and he will also focus on talent recruitment and retention.

“Jordan will champion our holistic approach, ensuring clients benefit from fully integrated solutions by aligning the right expertise across service lines, regions, and global markets,” said Joe Almeida, Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young in Ontario. “He is highly regarded for guiding clients through complex transactions with precision and discretion, delivering seamless execution and strategic counsel on the most critical initiatives.”

Prior to joining Avison Young, Lovett was a Vice-President for another large commercial real estate firm since 2018. Specializing in capital markets, multifamily, land development, and valuations, his total sales volume exceeds $600 million. Before entering real estate, Lovett managed a substantial loan portfolio as a commercial banker, experienced in structuring capital for real estate acquisitions and corporate M&As. His lender’s vantage point provides clients with a significant advantage when investigating financing options or when pricing alternative assets.

“Joining Avison Young is an important chapter in my career and what makes this most exciting is our shared commitment to a client-first philosophy,” said Lovett. “I want to build client relationships founded on transparency, results, and a shared vision for the future – and I know Avison Young feels much the same way.”

Lovett is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours).
