Background
Matt Walker began his career in commercial real estate at Avison Young in 1996 following graduation from the University of Western Ontario, and he became a Principal of the company in 2001.
Matt spent the early part of his career assisting landlords with the marketing and leasing of office properties throughout Metro Vancouver, giving him first-hand knowledge of the private, public and institutional landlord financial analysis, reporting and decision-making process. Acting on behalf of landlords equipped Matt with the knowledge and experience to provide unparalleled representation service and advice to significant tenancies across all asset classes throughout Metro Vancouver.
A track record in acting for landlords and representing tenants provided Matt with the ability to underwrite all asset classes and develop acquisition and disposition strategies for the purchase and sale of investment property.
The culmination of landlord and tenant representation leasing experience and expertise with the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate enables Matt to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to real estate consulting, transaction and advisory services.

Matt’s experience in all facets of commercial real estate leasing and sales across all asset classes throughout British Columbia has equipped him with the skill sets and experience required to successfully manage accounts on behalf of clients with diverse owned and leased real estate portfolios.
Matt offers a unique blend of investment sales and leasing market knowledge, including experience with the development and execution of strategies for the acquisition and disposition of leased and owned properties, and a comprehensive understanding of real estate finance and analysis.
